Tanner Scott is preparing to join the Dodgers after a brief time with the San Diego Padres! One of free agency’s top relief pitchers has signed to a four-year, $72 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The 30-year-old pitcher will join the Dodgers after signing a four-year contract with a $20 million signing bonus and $21 million in deferred payments, according to MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. He is coming off an incredible 2024 season in which he posted a 1.75 ERA, 2.92 FIP, 10.5 K/9, and made his first All-Star Game appearance.

Tanner Scott began his MLB career as the Baltimore Orioles’ sixth-round choice and has since established himself as a formidable relief reliever. He was made an All-Star for the first time while with the Miami Marlins before being dealt to the San Diego Padres last summer.
Even before adding Scott, the Dodgers were one of the more active teams this offseason, signing a number of blockbuster agreements. The defending World Series champions have also signed Roki Sasaki, Blake Snell, Michael Conforto, and Hyeseong Kim, as well as returning Teoscar Hernández and Tommy Edman.
