In Year 1, the Washington Commanders’ offence, led by Jayden Daniels and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, was among the best in football (28.5 points per game). However, because the offence relied heavily on Terry McLaurin, Washington struggled when he was removed.

However, CBS Sports believes that the Commanders should hunt for another weapon for Daniels this offseason, and has identified free agent Tee Higgins as a potential candidate.
“The Commanders have plenty of work to do on the defensive side of the ball this offseason, but they also can’t run it back with what they have at wide receiver,” according to CBS Sports. “Jayden Daniels needs someone besides Terry McLaurin to throw the ball to, and Tee Higgins is likely the best free agent in this class.
This past season, the 26-year-old caught a career-high 10 touchdowns in only 12 games. Spotrac.com estimates Higgins’ market value at $25.4 million APY, implying a five-year agreement worth $125 million or more. Would Washington want to put up that amount of money? Higgins was productive in the Cincinnati Bengals offence after accumulating 911 receiving yards and ten touchdowns in only nine games. Partnering him with McLaurin would offer the Commanders a significant offensive boost, as Daniels will enter Year 2 with one of the top receiving duos in football.
