Only a few months ago, the same Ohio State fans who are now celebrating Day’s contract extension were screaming for his dismissal following his fourth consecutive loss to the Wolverines, this time at home as 19.5-point favourites. So it’s understandable that when Michigan supporters learned on Thursday morning that Day would be staying for the near future, they were ecstatic about the prospect of extending their winning run to five, six, or more games.
