Jimmy Butler wasted no time making his presence felt in his Golden State Warriors debut, helping lead a stunning comeback victory over the Chicago Bulls. The five-time All-Star showcased exactly what Golden State had been lacking—defensive intensity, veteran leadership, and a steady scoring presence alongside Steph Curry. Butler finished the night with 25 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, seamlessly fitting into the Warriors’ system and providing a much-needed boost on both ends of the floor.

Perhaps most impressive was Butler’s impact in the second half. Down big early, the Warriors flipped the script after halftime, with Butler leading the charge defensively while Curry caught fire offensively. The two superstars combined for 59 points, with Curry contributing 34, reminding fans just how dangerous the Warriors can be when they have the right pieces in place.

After the game, Butler spoke about his mindset in his Warriors debut. “I just want to come in and do what I do—play hard, play smart, and make winning plays,” Butler said. “We’ve got a great group here, and I’m excited to be part of something special.”

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr also praised Butler’s impact. “Jimmy brings a level of toughness and versatility that we’ve been missing. He makes us a much better team,” Kerr said.

Fans took notice of Butler’s influence, with social media buzzing about his defensive stops, timely buckets, and ability to take pressure off Curry. His leadership was on full display, as he kept teammates engaged and focused during the Warriors’ furious comeback.
