Many Green Bay Packers supporters are feeling nostalgic about Davante Adams after their loss to the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. Jordan Love’s comments on the former Packers only add fuel to the fire.
Love discussed his relationship with Adams, who departed the team in 2021 to join the Las Vegas Raiders, on Kay Adams’ Up and Adams broadcast.
The 32-year-old wide receiver, who won numerous individual honours while playing at Lambeau Field, is currently with the New York Jets and has played alongside another Packers star, Aaron Rodgers.
Davante, that’s my dude. “Obviously, I spent a lot of time with him in Green Bay during my first few seasons,” Love told Kay Adams.
“When I was with him, he might have dropped three passes in the years I knew him. He excels as a receiver and creates significant separation from the line. That’s his style, you know, murdering players off the line, making spectacular receptions, and making big plays.”
Adams is open to the possibility of rejoining with the Packers. He appeared on the Up and Adams show early in January and was asked about the fan outcry.
You cannot rule anything out. I have a lot of affection for all of the organizations I’ve played for, so I wouldn’t rule anyone out. “I mean that,” he stated.
Jordan Love speaks openly about the Packers’ WR predicament.
Fans are growing impatient with their wide receiver dilemma, but Love believes in their roster.
The key quarterback believes their roster has yet to reach its full potential.
He is open to recruiting new wide receivers, but he is also willing to work with what they already have.
“It works,” Love explained. “We have an excellent group. There are definitely areas to focus on in order to progress, overcome obstacles, and succeed. “I love those guys.”
The WR depth currently consists of Christian Watson, who was hurt against the Eagles, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath.
