The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys will both seek to return to the playoffs in 2025. While Green Bay has made the playoffs the last two seasons, many analysts believe they are still a few components away from competing for the Super Bowl.
A single move with Dallas would be dubbed a “splash move.”
“Insane Proposal” Packers send two starters to the Cowboys in a massive trade idea. (Report)
This offseason, the Dallas Cowboys must decide whether to extend Micah Parsons. However, if they do not want to pay the high price, he may be able to create a big return through trading.
The Cowboys are thought to want to keep Parsons, but NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that the team has had internal discussions about dealing him away.
“While there have been no trade talks, sources say there have at least been some internal discussions about whether to pay Parsons or trade him for a king’s ransom,” Pelissero said. “If the Cowboys are prepared to listen, they might get it. Cowboys COO Stephen Jones told NFL.com in December that the team will consider the appropriateness of investing so much money in so few players, but added: “I can’t imagine a scenario where he’s not wearing a star on his helmet.”
If Parsons was traded, he would generate a significant return. While the chances are slim, FanSided’s Desmond Ordonez offered the following trade, which would send Parsons to the Green Bay Packers while adding two young players to fill positions of need:
Cowboys acquire wide receiver Jayden Reed, safety Javon Bullard, and a 2025 first-round pick (20).
