BREAKING: Detroit Lions Fans go Wild With Brutal Reactions Following Lions New OC John Morton Reveals Who Will Call Plays for Detroit Lions in 2025

The Detroit Lions have named their offensive play-caller for the 2025 season, and it is none other than recently appointed offensive coordinator John Morton. During an interview with FOX 2, Morton quickly confirmed that he will be calling the plays for Detroit’s offence in 2025.

John Morton takes the lead.
There had been some discussion regarding who would call the plays: Morton or head coach Dan Campbell. Morton, on the other hand, stated unequivocally that he is prepared to accept the burden. Morton, who formerly served as the Denver Broncos’ passing game coordinator for the past two seasons, is now in charge of organizing Detroit’s offensive approach.

When asked if he will be formally calling the plays for the Lions in 2025, Morton replied simply, “I am, yes.”

A Homecoming for Morton
Morton expressed his enthusiasm at the prospect of returning to Detroit. “I think it’s an unbelievable opportunity just to get another chance,” he stated, as reported by Lions OnSI. “Calling plays for the first time with the Jets was an experience. I’ve learned from it. But just being here at home—I grew up here, and my family is still here. I know what it takes. I’ve seen many ups and downs. “I grew up as a Barry Sanders fan.”

How Good Was Barry Sanders Actually?

Morton, who has a strong connection to the city and the franchise, is eager to contribute his expertise and vision to the Lions’ offence. “I’m incredibly excited about this chance. “You don’t get too many of them, and I’m prepared,” Morton finished.

As the Lions attempt to capitalize on their successful season, having a known and devoted leader like Morton calling the plays will undoubtedly bring stability and continuity in Detroit’s offensive plan.
