“The Green Bay Packers would be wise to give Samuel a look, as they continue to search for a high-end complement to Jaire Alexander,” Knox says. “Packers passing game coordinator Derrick Ansley previously coached Samuel as Los Angeles’ defensive coordinator.”

Despite playing only four games in the 2024 season due to a shoulder injury, he made big contributions to the Los Angeles Chargers’ defence in 2023. That year, he played in all 17 games, recording 63 tackles, two interceptions, and 13 passes defensed. Samuel’s injury history, however, is of paramount concern. In Week 6 of the 2024 season, he was placed on injured reserve due to a reoccurring shoulder ailment that was aggravated by contact in practice. When asked about his health, Samuel revealed that his shoulder injury is a “lifelong issue.”
