The Green Bay Packers are embarking on another important offseason. Going into year three with Jordan Love at quarterback, you should see championship-caliber football being played.
Green Bay has the ability to elevate their roster from playoff to Super Bowl calibre this offseason, much like Philadelphia did from 2023 to 2024. However, they may find it challenging to do so.
Packers leak troubling off-season news, and Josh Jacobs goes viral over it.
Having quarterback Jordan Love to work with in the passing game will only make Jacobs’ job simpler. There is only one major issue with what Jacobs expects Green Bay’s front office to do:
The Packers simply do not like the prices that the finest wide outs in this year’s free agent class are expected to command. According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano (subscription needed), the Green Bay Packers’ executive office will not enter the offseason “thinking about star power.”
Packers allegedly not ‘thinking about star power’ in the wide receiver market.
The Bengals’ stated intention to place the franchise tag on Tee Higgins will only increase the value of his peers on the free market.
Instead, expect general manager Brian Gutekunst and his team to concentrate on potential bargains to boost the quality of their receiver room. They might hunt for a veteran willing to join a serious Super Bowl contender. Someone like DeAndre Hopkins or Keenan Allen might improve the team’s performance on the field and in the locker room.

Getting a star wide receiver this year will most likely require finding a youngster who can make an immediate impact in the draft. With the 23rd overall pick in Round 1, Green Bay will not have a chance to grab a clear star in what is seen as a middling wide receiver class. For the Packers’ aggressive front management, picking a toolsy talent like Jayden Higgins or Tre Harris in Round 2 may be a wise decision.
