BREAKING: NBA To Officially Make Historic Announcement After Miami Specialist Links Spurs Wemby’s Blood Clot Issue to COVID vaccine After Latest Diagnosis

Victor Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs’ standout big man, received an unpleasant injury update on Thursday. The Frenchman has deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder and will miss the rest of the 2024-25 season.

People have compared Wembanyama’s situation to that of former Miami Heat star Chris Bosh, who retired from the game in his early thirties. Bosh suffered from reoccurring blood clots near the conclusion of his professional career, eventually developing them in one of his lungs.

But Miami doctor Jesse Moore took to X to explain why Wembanyama’s scenario differed from Bosh’s. Interestingly, he also mentioned that the COVID-19 vaccine could be linked to Wembanyama’s blood clot.
Bosh last played 53 games for the Heat in the 2015-16 season. His final NBA game before retiring occurred against the San Antonio Spurs in February 2016.

In the game, he scored 18 points while shooting 6-of-12 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. He added five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in Miami’s 18-point loss.

When he retired, he was still one of the league’s best players at his position, making his early retirement even more unfortunate. Throughout his final season in the league, Bosh averaged 19.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. In addition, he shot 36.5 percent from three on 4.2 tries per game, a career high.

While blood clots are not a laughing issue, the Spurs are reportedly optimistic that Wembanyama will be fully recovered before the start of next season. Before going down for the count, he averaged 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 3.8 rejections per game in his second NBA season.

Here’s hope that Wembanyama will be ready for the Spurs when the 2025-26 season begins, and that he will perform better than ever in his third season in the professionals. He’s only 21 years old, which is a scary notion for the rest of the league.
