“Do NOT Sign Him” Packers HC Sends a Brutal Massive Warning to GM Brian Gutekunst to Stay Away From High Value Free Agent …..

The Green Bay Packers have a number of advantages this offseason. They are coming off consecutive postseason berths with one of the NFL’s youngest lineups. The team also has more cap space than normal, which may allow them to enter free agency again.

However, there is one free agent they should be exceedingly aware of.

Chiefs' Charvarius Ward combats anxiety with 'badass' mindset
Clearly, the Green Bay Packers need some help at cornerback this offseason, as Jaire Alexander appears to be on his way out and the Packers have very minimal depth behind him.

The Packers’ considerable cap space coming into free agency should let them to splurge on cornerbacks, especially with so many strong players available:

Charvarius Ward, who spent the last few years with the San Francisco 49ers, is an obvious name to keep an eye on. He could be the greatest defensive back available next month.

However, Rucker Haringey of FanSided believes Green Bay should avoid Ward in free agency, citing the 29-year-old’s declining output over the past year.

“Some team is going to pay Ward like an above-average starter but the Packers should be looking for safer options,” according to Haringey. “His struggles in 2024 should cause them to spend their money elsewhere at corner.”

Ward was not particularly effective in 2024, recording 54 tackles and seven passes defended in 12 games. However, he is only two seasons removed from recording 72 tackles, five interceptions, and 23 passes defended, which earned him a Pro Bowl berth and Second-Team All-Pro accolades in 2023.
