The Green Bay Packers understand that the 2025 offseason might be the one that elevates this group from playoff to Super Bowl status. After making the playoffs in consecutive seasons with Jordan Love at quarterback, Green Bay’s future seems promising.
However, one of the team’s announcements did not sit well with supporters.
“This Sucks” Packers Fans Erupt Over Team Announcement (Report)
According to Green Bay’s official website:
Steven V. from Palos Park, Illinois.
The Green Bay Packers are rumored to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in late September in Dublin, Ireland. Is there a way to inform the NFL that this is an extremely horrible idea? The Green Bay Packers have played two games overseas, both of which they have lost, and both of its starting quarterbacks have been injured in the last seconds of each game.
I am opposed to this notion. Is the NFL attempting to make the Packers less successful than they were in the early seasons under Matt LaFleur? I know you’ll be retiring in July and ending up this column. I’d want to see you answer at least one more question from me before we wrap things up.
Thank you for raising this concern, Stephen. We should find out soon whether we will play in Dublin. The reality about international games is that they are a top priority for the league, and we must get used to playing them. We will play at least one international game every other year. The NFL doesn’t care who wins or loses these games; league officials want close, competitive contests to boost the game’s international popularity.
Finally, I do not believe there is any greater risk of injury in international games. The league management maintains good field conditions for abroad games.
Fans were not pleased to learn that Green Bay will play overseas at least once every other year.
