The Georgia Bulldogs have a number of major college football recruiting visits scheduled. However, one that has sparked substantial interest is the best athlete in the 2026 recruiting class. According to ESPN’s Eli Lederman, the Bulldogs have a shot to land Brandon Arrington, the 247Sports composite rankings’ top athlete in the 2026 class.
Georgia might choose Arrington over other SEC teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas A&M Aggies. “The Bulldogs could make significant strides during Arrington’s visit this month,” Lederman said on Tuesday. “One of the fastest prospects in the 2026 class, Arrington has held Texas A&M and Alabama among his leaders at different points over the past year, and Georgia will have a chance to swing Arrington’s recruitment this month.” Arrington is not only the best athlete, but also the No. 11 overall prospect for 2026, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Lederman confirmed that Arrington is planning an unofficial visit to Athens, Georgia, during the calm period. Arrington stands out as a possibility due to his speed. In high school track, the sprinter ran the 60-meter dash in 6.67 seconds.
Arrington will complete his high school education at Mount Miguel in Spring Valley, California, this September. Georgia will have stiff competition, as Texas A&M remains the odds-on favorite to grab Arrington, according to On3.
