Georgia football has been sitting at five commits in its 2026 recruiting class for quite some time, but everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before that number increases.
Kirby Smart and his team have done a wonderful job over the previous month and a half of putting themselves in a strong position with some of the best recruits in the country, but they have had to be very patient while waiting for their next commitment. Fortunately, the period when most prospects declare their pledges is approaching, so Georgia supporters will not have to wait much longer.
Nick Abrams, a four-star linebacker, is a top Georgia target, and it looks he is also interested in UGA. This is a positive omen considering Abrams recently declared that he will commit later this summer.
Nick Abrams, a four-star recruit, plans to commit in July.
According to Ryan O’Bleness, Abrams plans to announce his commitment on July 16th.
Abrams has released his top ten schools, which include Georgia, Alabama, Duke, Michigan State, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt. Abrams will allegedly visit all ten campuses this spring, including Athens.
Abrams has yet to announce where he will make official visits later this summer, although he will most certainly do so after seeing his ten finalists in the spring. But Georgia has to be optimistic about their chances right now based just on the colleges they are up against. Yes, there is some stiff competition, but there are several other programs that UGA should feel extremely comfortable competing against.
These ten spring visits will happen quickly for Abrams, so stay tuned for more definite information on his recruitment once the visits begin.
