BREAKING : JUST IN- Commanders Make Massive Jonathan Allen Decision As Trade Talks Fall Flat

In recent days, the Washington Commanders have made news for their attempts to split ways with defensive lineman Jonathan Allen.

This makes things even more intriguing for any team that is interested. As it turned out, Allen’s market was limited due to these constraints.

The Washington Commanders released Jonathan Allen.
The trade talks finally failed, and the Commanders announced Allen’s release.

This isn’t surprising given that his cap cost for 2025 was more than $22 million, and any team interested in Allen had to be aware that the Commanders would save more than $16 million by simply releasing him.

Prospective teams were wise enough to realize that they’d have a chance at him without having to spend any draft cash.

The two-time Pro Bowl veteran now has the opportunity to find a new team just a few days before the free market officially begins. This allows any team in need of a defensive line to pounce before the frenzy that awaits next week.

After missing half of the regular season due to a ruptured pectoral muscle, Allen returned to play the final few games and the postseason. Now healthy and nearing the end of his career, Allen will most likely have to choose between cashing in one more time and pursuing a Super Bowl.

Will he have the opportunity to do both?
