BREAKING: Spurs Makes a Huge Decision On Point Guard De’Aaron Fox Following His Season-Ending Surgery

Another notable San Antonio Spur has been added to the season-ending injury list.

De’Aaron Fox, a point guard, will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 regular season to have surgery to repair an extensor tendon on his left fifth finger, the team announced Thursday evening.

Fox has been dealing with the issue since the beginning of training camp with his original team, the Sacramento Kings. San Antonio officially acquired Fox from the Kings on February 3.

Fox took over as San Antonio’s primary scorer after center Victor Wembanyama was sidelined for the remainder of the season following the NBA All-Star break in mid-February.

Fox has averaging 19.7 points and 6.8 assists per game in San Antonio over the last 17 games since returning.
