
ATHENS, GA. — Marques Easley and Nitro Tuggle have been permanently barred from any team activities. Further comment will not be forthcoming.
Following rumors of two players involved in separate driving situations, the Georgia Football athletic program issued an official statement Thursday.
“ATHENS, GA. — Marques Easley and Nitro Tuggle have been permanently barred from any team activities. There won’t be any more remarks.
According to Athens Clarke County arrest records, Georgia wide receiver Nitro Tuggle was taken into custody for reckless driving and exceeding the speed limit. He was freed after posting a $26.00 bail.
The event involving Marques Easley has not been officially reported. But according to Georgia Bulldogs on SI, Easley had to spend some time in the hospital after being involved in a single-car accident earlier in the week.
Kirby Smart, the head coach of Georgia, is not scheduled to address the media until at least Tuesday.
Due to driving-related incidents, Georgia has placed WR Nitro Tuggle and OL Marques Easley on indefinite suspension.Tyler Williams, a freshman wide receiver, will miss the spring due to an ankle injury that needed surgery.
