The Phoenix Suns are expected to be key participants this summer, with trade targets Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker all mentioned in NBA trade rumors to some level. As the Suns attempt to rebuild, the San Antonio Spurs have the resources to provide a brighter future than they currently have. Durant is the most prominent name linked to the Spurs, but if the Suns make Booker available, it’s difficult to envision the Spurs not selling the farm for a trio of Booker, De’Aaron Fox, and Victor Wembanyama.
A recent social media post may have revealed that Booker wants to play with Wemby. Booker would not be the first to express interest in joining the Spurs. Fox made it known that he wanted to play with Wemby before the Sacramento Kings granted his request, and Dink Pate and AJ Dybantsa, who have yet to be drafted, have stated that the Spurs are their ideal landing site. In an Instagram post, Booker mentioned Wembanyama, who is signed to Nike.
Booker also has a signature shoe with the athletic giant, but his sneakers cost $30 less than Wemby’s and have his alien emblem on the heel and insole.
Of course, Booker is a well-known sneakerhead who just loves good stuff when he sees it, but with the Suns in disarray and the Spurs on the upswing, rumors quickly began to circulate, and it’s simple to understand why.
