GAME CHANGER: Packers Secure Towering 6’7″ Monster to Boost Jordan Love’s Offense

Kadeem Telfort, a former offensive tackle for UAB, has signed with the Green Bay Packers for another season. Telfort went into the offseason as an exclusive-rights free agent—a player with fewer than three seasons and an expiring contract. He would have become an unrestricted free agent on March 12 without a contract tender from the Packers.

The Packers issued a contract tender.

However, Green Bay did tender a contract to Telfort, essentially tying the lineman to the Packers through 2025. According to NFL rules, if his original team offers the ERFA a contract, he is not allowed to negotiate with other teams.

Telfort appeared in 16 regular-season games for Green Bay in 2024, primarily on special teams. He made 79 special teams plays. Telfort played 23 offensive snaps across four games.

However, in the Packers’ 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the NFC playoffs, Telfort played 39 offensive snaps at left guard when Elgton Jenkins was forced to leave the game with a shoulder injury.

This acquisition has the potential to be a pivotal moment for the Packers’ offense, giving Jordan Love a powerful new weapon to elevate his game. With a 6’7″ towering presence, this new addition brings size, strength, and versatility that could dominate opposing defenses. Packers fans have reason to be excited, as this move could signal a major shift in Green Bay’s offensive strategy and a boost to their playoff chances.
