BREAKING NEWS: Former Green Bay Packers All-Pro TE Looking For Work In 2025 Possible Reunion

Aaron Rodgers is apparently searching for a “culture” similar to the one he had with the Green Bay Packers as he searches for a new team. Rodgers used an entirely different organizational method (impromptu) with the New York Jets.

During Rodgers’ later seasons, the Packers had veterans who served as major locker room leaders. One of those leaders is seeking for a job by 2025.

During an appearance on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” last week, tight end Marcedes Lewis said that he is trying to play football at the age of 40, his 20th season in the NFL. Lewis reported that several organizations had been “probing” his interest this offseason.

“I don’t know where yet,” Lewis responded when asked where he will play in 2025. “You know, there have been a few organizations looking to see if I’m going to continue to play. So it’s all up to the cosmos. And this offseason, I’m simply going to do my job as usual and train my buttocks off. And I’ll be prepared when that happens.”

According to Pro Football Focus, Lewis had an 80.9 overall score for pass blocking in 2024 and a 58.0 grade for run blocking.

While Lewis waits on a contract, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ No. 28 choice in the 2006 draft is preparing for a long 2025 season.

“So obviously what I can control is being my personal best and working out and doing my thing and I’ll be ready when that time comes,” Lewis said in response.

In 19 seasons, Lewis has 437 receptions for 5,115 yards and 40 touchdowns. If he rejoined the Packers, Jordan Love would not target him frequently. But he could keep Love standing.

Lewis played for the Packers for five seasons before moving to Chicago. While he was never Rodgers’ primary target, his duty was to be a beast at both run and pass blocking. As a blocker, he continues to produce impressive results.
