The Georgia Bulldogs’ future as quarterback is unknown. Carson Beck, a two-year starter, transferred to the Miami Hurricanes this offseason, and the Bulldogs are still looking for a quarterback in their 2026 recruiting class. However, the Bulldogs’ lack of a signal-caller in next year’s recruiting class may not last long.
Bowe Bentley, a four-star quarterback, visited Georgia over the weekend. The prospect talked favorably of his visit, particularly his interactions with Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart. “Had a great conversation with Coach Smart,” Bentley told Steve Wiltfong of On3. “Love his intensity and his competitiveness is like mine.” Bentley also stated that the Bulldogs practice was the finest he witnessed during his recent recruiting trip.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound signal-caller is the No. 10 quarterback prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. According to those same rankings, Bentley is a top 125 recruit overall and the top 20 Texas prospect in the class.
The Bulldogs are still recruiting five-star 2026 QB prospect Jared Curtis. Curtis, the No. 2 quarterback in the class, is picking between Georgia and the Oregon Ducks. If the Bulldogs do not land Curtis, it is not unexpected that they will begin to aggressively pursue Bentley. Wiltfong stated on March 17 that “we’ll likely see where” Curtis falls with his decision soon. Bentley will spend his last high school season at Celina, Texas.
