HEAT OFFICIAL UPDATE: Miami Heat Have Solved Erik Spoelstra and Heat Point Guard Problem With $146 Million All-Star To a 4 -Years Contract.

The Miami Heat require a long-term solution for the point guard position. Erik Spoelstra’s club has been in desperate need of a top ball handler since Goran Dragic left.Terry Rozier has been unable to fill the vacuum. The former Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets guard has struggled on South Beach. As a result, Pat Riley may begin to scout the trade market for a new star guard.A recent trade proposal from Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus demonstrates that Miami has a chance to sign a new All-Star. Pincus’ suggested deal would send Trae Young to Miami, resolving the team’s long-standing guard woes. The proposed agreement looks like this:

Atlanta Hawks get Terry Rozier, Duncan Robinson, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jović, Pelle Larsson, 2025 No. 20 (Golden State Warriors), Miami 2030 protected first-rounder, and a $19.4 million trade exception.

Trae Young is acquired by the Miami Heat.

NBA Rumors: This Hawks-Heat Trade Features Trae Young
“The Heat have two big men who can help protect the paint in Bam Adebayo and Kel’el Ware,” Pincus suggested. “Andrew Wiggins remains a competent wing with defensive abilities. Teams would have a difficult time dealing with the All-Star backcourt of Young and Herro, but coach Erik Spoelstra would face defensive concerns. It’s not a “no-brainer,” but the talent boost may be difficult to argue against, assuming the Heat believe Young can fill the team’s scoring void.”
