The Lilywhites remain unbeaten in the Premier League so far, having pulled off the most recent comeback in the competition’s history last weekend at home against Sheffield United. Postecoglou has already won over fans by restoring the club’s feel-good element.

According to the source, beloved forward Son Heung-min is set to sign a large new contract, with the South Korean enjoying life under Postecoglou.
The 31-year-old has 148 goals in 377 appearances for the club and was appointed captain by his boss at the start of the season following the departure of Harry Kane and the signing of Guglielmo Vicario to replace Hugo Lloris.
Son is thought to be enjoying his new manager’s resurgence after a poor season under Antonio Conte last season. Son and Postecoglou appear to have a solid working relationship, with the 31-year-old slotting in either centrally or on the left of Australia’s 4-3-3 formation – and Postecoglou was effusive in his admiration of his skipper this week.
“Everyone knows he’s a fantastic footballer, but he’s also just a brilliant human being,” Postecoglou added. “For any type of manager, when you’re looking for leaders in a group and they’re all different types, first and foremost, what kind of person are they?”
“Even from afar, even before I joined the club, obviously I’ve known Sonny for a long time because being from that part of the world myself and working in Asia, as well as the exposure I had to his standing in the community there, you can tell he was respected.”
