ESPN NEWS: Steelers owner Arthur Joseph Rooney II Sends a Brutal Warning to Team as His patience Runs Thin

Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers may make the playoffs every year, but they have never advanced to the Super Bowl. Despite TJ Watt’s absence against the Buffalo Bills, Art Rooney II stated that he and players like Cam Heyward want greater urgency from their staff. He expressed similar sentiments in his most recent comments, via Bob Labrlola of the Steelers.

“I believe there is an urgency. Everybody. Myself, Mike, players that have been on the team for a while, TJ Watt, Cam Heyward, and everyone else. We’ve got enough of it. It’s time to get some wins. “It’s time to take these next steps,” Art Rooney II remarked of the Steelers’ recent lack of playoff success.

Mike Tomlin won the Super Bowl with the Steelers. However, the squad has not returned to title-contending form since. They have not won a playoff game since 2016, despite reaching at least the Wild Card round each season. Rooney emphasized the mentality they should have going into their next season.

“I believe there is a sense of urgency here. There’s resolve and determination there… I’m starting to get impatient. We need to see the kind of improvement that everyone wants to see. Mike believes it as strongly as everyone else in the building,” he stated.
