Puka Nacua, a Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, caught the NFL by storm in his rookie season, and if there was a redraft of the 2023 NFL Draft, he would almost certainly not have been available when the Rams picked. In a recent ESPN piece, they redrafted this previous year’s draft knowing how the picks will pan out. Nacua rose from the 177th pick to the fourth pick, and he was one of the brightest rookie stars this season.
Nacua set several records this season, including the rookie record for receptions and receiving yards in a season. And he did all of this after being selected with the final pick of the fifth round. The young star rose from being a marginal starter at the start of the season to becoming one of the top skill position players in the NFL. Nacua finished fourth in the league in receiving yards, and his performance will only improve as he gains experience.
