EXCLUSIVE NEWS: “A proposal of about £40 million…” – Fulham considering a January move for Leicester city gem.

The Premier League team is reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old and may try to make a bid during the January transfer window, according to talkSPORT.

Just a few weeks ago, the summer window ended, but clubs are already making plans for the autumn and winter, when the market will reopen.

Dewsbury-Hall was the focus of transfer rumours after Leicester was demoted to the second division, but he stayed at the King Power Stadium.

The midfielder, who currently plays with the Foxes on a deal through 2027, has been an important member of the squad under Enzo Maresca.

Should Leicester City take advantage of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s interest?
But the opportunity to return to the Premier League in January would be a major draw.

Here, we seek the opinions of our FLW writers on how much it would take to persuade Leicester to split ways with Dewsbury-Hall.

Dewsbury-Hall has been an important player for Leicester thus far this season and may be essential to the Foxes’ immediate resurgence under Maresca.

After the club’s recent summer, selling him in January would be a terrible loss.

The Leicestershire team should try to hold onto someone of Dewsbury-Hall’s calibre since they have already lost Youri Tielemans, Harvey Barnes, and James Maddison from their midfield in recent months.

In the Premier League, Fulham is likewise not guaranteed to stay put and may easily make the same move as Leicester does next summer.

Therefore, the 25-year-old might not be wise to go to Craven Cottage in January.

For the club to even consider a sale, Fulham would need to make an offer of almost £40 million.

Dewsbury-Hall’s price will be quite high since he might perhaps compromise the club’s goal of being promoted to the top division.

His long-term contract only improves Leicester’s negotiation position moving into the January transfer window.

Leicester would be unwise to cash in on Dewsbury-Hall in the January transfer window unless Fulham’s offer is too good to refuse.

They made a lot of money this summer from the sales of Harvey Barnes and James Madison, so their financial situation should be secure at least through next summer.

There is little question that Dewsbury-Hall’s squad would be weaker without him as they try to push for promotion this season.

The 25-year-old appears to be a player with a bright future, and Maddison’s departure could offer him the space to develop his offensive side of the game, as we’ve seen in the first few games of the new season.

He has a contract that runs through the summer of 2027, and as he accrues more playing time in the Championship, he should only get better, increasing his worth.

I don’t think it makes sense for the Foxes to sell in January unless Fulham makes them an offer they can’t refuse.
