ESPN BREAKING NEWS: Browns QB Joe Flacco Has Made a Decision About Returning To Browns

The Cleveland Browns needed a saviour, and Joe Flacco came through.

For better or worse, he was exactly what the squad needed at the time, even if he was far from his best when it counted the most.

Even yet, Flacco easily won the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year title last season, beating out Damar Hamlin and Baker Mayfield, and for good reason.

Browns: Joe Flacco has as many touchdowns in five games as some ...

Flacco made five regular-season starts for the Browns, throwing for 1,616 yards, 13 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
He finished seventh in passing yards from weeks 12 to 17, turning back the clock and leading the squad back to the playoffs.

However, according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic (via Rotoworld Football on Twitter), the veteran gunslinger appears to be ready to leave the Browns.
Flacco remained unsigned until far into the season.

He left his sofa to take over for XFL veteran P.J. Walker and fifth-round rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson shortly after Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending injury.

Nonetheless, with Watson likely to be back at full strength for the start of the 2017 season, it’s not surprising that Flacco may seek another opportunity elsewhere.

Browns' Joe Flacco shares honest feelings on starting vs. Rams

The Browns are apparently keen on Thompson-Robinson, which is why they felt comfortable parting ways with Joshua Dobbs following last year’s preseason, so Flacco’s playing time may be restricted.

His time in Berea will be remembered as exciting, as he transformed from divisional adversary and frequent foe to fan favourite in less than a month.
