ESPN BREAKING NEWS: Florida is on the verge of signing a four-star QB prospect who decommitted from a high NFL team

Antwann Hill had formerly committed to playing football for Deion Sanders at Colorado.

That was only a two-month pledge, but now that the 2025 QB recruit is back on the market, one school appears to be fighting harder than others to secure Hill’s commitment.

According to On3, the Florida Gators are seriously considering adding Hill to their recruiting class.

“We know that Antwann Hill is certainly in that group of three or four top guys that Florida is looking at,” Florida recruiting expert Keith Niebuhr recently stated.

Hill, from Warner Robins, Georgia, has over 30 offers, with Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Penn State, and Tennessee standing out.

Florida may have an advantage, however, because he has visited campus several times, including on a Junior Day trip this past January.

He also talked highly of the Gators following his visit.

“They definitely made me feel at home,” Hill told On3. “Just seeing DJ Lagway working out and how they treated him—sseeing how they’re bringing in freshmen quarterbacks early and how they’re developing him and getting him ready for the SEC made me feel good.”

Lagway, a former five-star recruit, signed with Florida as a member of Billy Napier’s 2024 class. Hill is not as highly regarded, but he still has enormous potential as a quarterback prospect.

According to the 247Sports aggregate rankings, Hill is the country’s No. 6 quarterback recruit.
