ESPN BREAKING NEWS: Brown GM Andrew Berry Makes Blockbuster QB Trade For Browns

When it comes to finding good quarterbacks, the Cleveland Browns have struggled more than any other team.

And just when it appeared that his problems were behind him, Deshaun Watson struggled to return to his typical level, only to suffer a season-ending injury when he finally started to get things together.

Watson has left a lot to be desired since arriving in Berea, and some say he is simply not the player he once was.

Given this, ESPN analyst Seth Walder believes the team should make a big statement in the offseason and surprise everyone by dealing for Justin Fields.
“With no first-round pick and so much money already coming Watson’s way, this would be difficult to accomplish. But dealing a second- or third-round selection for Fields (who is still on his rookie contract) is an option, and I’d want to see him in Kevin Stefanski’s offence,” he wrote.

While admitting it was a crazy notion, he believes the team needs to accept that the Watson deal was not a success.

They don’t have a first-round pick and have already spent a lot of money on Watson, so it won’t be easy, but they might still be a contender for Fields.

He believes Fields would be a good fit in Kevin Stefanski’s offence, which is difficult to argue with.

Fields has shown promise in Chicago, but he hasn’t had the quality players or offensive plan to take use of his abilities.

Also, trading for him would allow the Browns to avoid having him play in the same division as the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are apparently keeping an eye on him.
