BREAKING NEWS: NCAA world Reacts as Miami Returning Receiver Named 5th Best By Pro Football Focus

Retaining Xavier Restrepo was a big success for the Hurricanes this summer, and national newspapers agree.

According to a recent Pro Football Focus (PFF) article, Restrepo is regarded as the fifth best returning receiver for college football next season.
Restrepo is the lone ACC representation on the list, trailing Oregon’s Tez Johnson, Ohio State’s Emeka Ebguka, Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan, and Missouri’s Luther Burden III.

Restrepo set career highs in all categories this season, with 85 receptions, 1,092 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns in 12 games for the Hurricanes. He’ll team up again with wideout Jacolby George to form one of, if not the finest, receiving duos in the conference.

This One's Definitely Going to be One for Him”

Restrepo is among the top players in college football, as well as those who will most likely play on Sundays in the future. If he can continue to produce in 2024 as he did this season, he will be considered for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Restrepo will benefit greatly from the addition of Washington State transfer Cam Ward as his quarterback. Ward threw for more than 3,700 yards and 33 touchdowns as the Cougars ended 5-7 in their final Pac-12 season.

While the hype is undeniable, what counts most is on-field performance. Miami supporters will get a chance to see how much he has progressed when spring practice begins on March 4th.
