BREAKING NEWS: Justin Fields Trade Hit Unexpected Twist As GM Ryan Poles Verdict on Possibility of Justin Fields Return

The discussion about what the Chicago Bears should do with the top overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has run its course.

It’s one of the reasons why current Bears starting quarterback Justin Fields admitted to unfollowing the franchise and the NFL on Instagram. The discussion over whether the Bears should move forward with Fields or take Caleb Williams with the first overall pick in the upcoming draft has become tiring.

Rather than listen to actual NFL insiders and reporters who continue to strongly hint that the Bears will move on from Fields and select a quarterback with the first overall pick, fans prefer to believe sleuth users on social media who fall for the banana in the tailpipe with baseless reporting.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune is one reporter who has consistently reported that the Bears will part ways with Fields. Biggs has intimated that the Bears are no longer debating whether or not to keep Fields because the choice has already been made.

“From my perspective, there is no internal debate among the Bears about whether to maintain Justin Fields or draft a quarterback. I assume the effort being done is to determine which quarterback to select. So the whole Fields-Caleb Williams debate is useless.”

Biggs is one of the most connected reporters at Halas Hall, and when he goes so far as to suggest a decision has been made, it’s safe to assume he’s on the right track. Regardless of the mindless exercises that some on the national level are having around the Bears’ decision, the simplest option remains the most likely solution, which is for the organization to handle their quarterback need with Williams.

The Scouting Combine next week is likely to provide more insight on what the Bears will do. It seemed evident at the Scouting Combine last year that the Bears would trade the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The opposite is likely to be true this year, as a Fields trade is almost certain.
