DONE DEAL: Former Cowboys DE Agreed to Terms With The Commanders, As More Former Falcons Follow Dan Quinn to Join Commanders

Dan Quinn, the former Falcons head coach, is finally back in charge after three seasons as the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator.

Quinn was chosen to succeed Ron Rivera in Washington, where he will work alongside Adam Peters and a new Commanders ownership group. With a mountain of cap space, the No. 2 overall pick, and a strong roster, Quinn and Peters have the resources to develop a legitimate contender.

It doesn’t matter if they favour Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye; the former Falcons coach is relying on old relationships to fill out the roster. Dorance Armstrong travels from Dallas, and an old friend does the same.

Dante Fowler joined with the Falcons prior of the 2020 season, during which Quinn played only a few games. Fowler ended up staying with the new regime for only the 2021 season.

The Falcons parted ways with him before the 2022 season, and he followed his former head coach to Dallas, where he spent the next two seasons. According to Nicki Jhabvala, he will now travel to Washington with Quinn.
Fowler recorded 10 sacks over the previous two seasons in Dallas and will contribute as a rotational pass rusher in Washington. The Commanders face low risk. Expect Dan Quinn to rely on his contacts with the Seahawks, Falcons, and Cowboys as the Commanders flesh out their roster.
