DEAL AGREED: New Orleans Saints Has Reached an Agreement to Signing Mizzou Defensive Back Top Prospect During Team’s Pro Day Meeting

The New Orleans Saints did not trade Marshon Lattimore. As a result, they may not move their star cornerback. Only time will tell.

In the meanwhile, they’ve expressed interest in many cornerback prospects.

Kris Abrams-Draine, a Missouri Tigers defensive back, seems to have sparked the Saints’ interest.
They’ll meet with him on Friday at Mizzou’s Pro Day.

Mizzou football's Kris Abrams-Draine transitions to cornerback
Abrams-Draine is projected to play slot cornerback in the NFL. Regardless of Lattimore’s status, that is a role that New Orleans will have to play with caution.

Alontae Taylor played that position for the majority of last season, but he has shown to be a better outside cornerback. However, the Saints also have Paulson Adebo outside. He played the greatest football of his NFL career in 2023.

During his undergraduate career, Abrams-Draine was quite productive and distinguished out at the Senior Bowl.
If New Orleans pursues a defensive back in round three or four (after dealing for a pick somewhere along the way), Abrams-Draine makes a lot of sense.
