Some anticipated Derek Carr to embark on a revenge tour.
The Las Vegas Raiders appeared to have done him wrong, and considering the tools he would have and how winnable the NFC South Division appeared, expectations were high for the Fresno State product.
That’s why some fans weren’t too fond of Carr and his large income, and one of them turned to Instagram to accuse him of being ‘a scammer.’
Carr, on the other hand, refused to engage with this critique, just stating that he no longer does so (via JPA Football).
Unfortunately, neither HC Dennis Allen nor OC Pete Carmichael Jr. did anything to help his case.
Furthermore, Carr did not appear to be in good health for most of the game, which had a negative impact on his performance.
But after another season and a year of getting to know his new colleagues, he should fare better.
Most observers believed Carr’s difficulties were primarily the result of the Raiders’ bad management and dysfunctional chemistry.
Despite this, he guided them to the playoffs and had some impressive statistics at one point.
Now he’ll get another chance to demonstrate that this is the truth and that last season’s flaws were an outlier.
