“I Want To Play At Louisville” Five-Star Prospect Reveal His Desire During His Visit to Louisville

Devin Carter, a five-star wide receiver from Ellenwood, Ga., and Cedar Grove, returned to the University of Louisville campus on Friday.

Carter, who stands 6 feet and weighs 165 pounds, visited the University of Louisville in March to attend a spring practice and was one of several visitors for the Spring Game. He was able to spend more time with the University of Louisville coaches and attended a pre-Spring Gme prospect meal.

Carter already has 32 scholarship offers, but he says the University of Louisville is high on his list.
“The visit went well,” he informed Cardinal Authority. “I appreciated going there and witnessing the improvements they’re making.

“Me and the coaches are focusing on our relationship and building those relationships and they just always remind me that I’m a top priority to them.”
Carter stated that the U of L staff’s message has always been, “They will be recruiting until the end.”

Carter is the son of Dexter Carter, a former Florida State running back who was drafted in the first round and won a Super Bowl with the 49ers. The younger Carter made an early commitment to the Seminoles before restarting his recruitment in January.

His list of scholarship opportunities is wide. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC are among the many schools that have offered the 6-foot, 165-pound wide receiver.

According to 247Sports, Carter is the No. 5 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 35 overall recruit in the 2026 class. According to the 247Sports Composite, Carter is the nation’s No. 2 receiver.

As a rookie in 2022, Carter caught 30 passes for 417 yards and six touchdowns. Carter caught 51 passes for 923 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore, helping Cedar Grove capture the state championship.
