JUST IN: Minnesota Twin Fans Furious Reaction To Head Coach Naming A New pitchers & Starting lineup vs. Chicago White Sox, April 24

Following a rocky start to the season, the Minnesota Twins have won two straight games, including a walk-off victory over the Chicago White Sox Friday night.

Granted, the Twins are playing against the weakest team in baseball, but it’s reassuring to know that things aren’t as awful as we all anticipated. Tuesday night was a huge confidence boost for an offence that has failed to do much this season, and Minnesota will look to keep the momentum going in the third game of a four-game series against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Twins vs. White Sox probable starting pitchers for April 24
Joe Ryan (0-1, 3.57 ERA) will take the mound for the Twins, trying to follow in Chris Paddack’s footsteps by perfecting his stuff early in the season. Ryan is just one start removed from dominating the Tigers with 12 strikeouts in extra innings.

He was not credited with a win, and his 5-4 loss to Detroit on Friday did not count against him. His one loss this season came against Cleveland, and he still looked good in that game. Ryan struck out seven Guardians in six innings, but he gave up all three runs in the loss.

That’s what he needs to concentrate on to keep the good times going, since Twins pitchers have historically struggled with a few bad pitches tainting an otherwise strong start. Paddack struck out 10 White Sox hitters in his best start since 2021, which bodes well for Ryan’s potential.

Garrett Crochet (1-2, 5.61 ERA) will face Ryan and try to stop a Twins offence that has found its stride against the White Sox. That isn’t a lofty standard to meet, but Minnesota has scored one fewer run in two games than it did in the whole series against Detroit over the weekend.

Max Kepler has put together a string of strong offensive performances, and Trevor Larnach appears to be filling Matt Wallner’s shoes. Byron Buxton is hitting well, Edouard Julien has been hot, and the Twins offence has a chance to continue its momentum and figure things out against a pitcher who isn’t exactly a world-beater.
