Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy understands that his team is in a difficult situation right now. The club has been destroyed by injuries, and the manager is working hard to guide the team through the turbulence.
“We’re thin, so you have to work around that. “We don’t have a choice,” Bochy explained. “Every season, you probably go through something similar. We’re getting our fair share, so these young kids will get the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities up here.”
According to the Rangers’ depth chart, their rotation has taken an especially significant hit. As of this writing, six hurlers in the rotation were on the injured list. Another four pitchers from the team’s bullpen are also unavailable. The difficulties don’t end there; the squad also has three infielders out. A designated hitter and an outfielder complete the long list of injured players.
Rangers’ Season
Bochy is doing a wonderful job of keeping the team together. Despite a plethora of injuries, the Rangers are 22-18 this season. Texas currently leads the American League West Division. Eovaldi is having a fantastic season in the Texas rotation, with a.261 ERA. The right-hander has featured in seven games this season and has a 2-2 overall record. He is battling a groin injury.
Texas is likewise making measures to improve its rotation. Grant Anderson, a right-handed pitcher, was called up from triple-A Round Rock to assist. Anderson has a 2.08 ERA in Round Rock through 8 games in 2024.
