Dakorien Moore, a five-star wide receiver, stated Thursday that he will restart his recruitment.
The five-star wide receiver first committed to LSU on August 12. Moore had previously informed On3 that LSU was his ideal school, but he was still being recruited by the Texas Longhorns, Oregon Ducks, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Following Moore’s decommitment, LSU’s 2025 recruiting class is ranked second nationally and first in the SEC.
Moore is the No. 3 overall prospect and the top wide receiver in the 2025 class. According to the On3 industry rankings, he is Texas’ number one player.
He was named first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American after making 71 receptions for 1,523 yards and 18 touchdowns. Moore had a strong sophomore season, helping Duncanville win the Texas 6A D-I state championship.
According to On3 RPM, Texas is Moore’s expected leader. It would be a significant in-state recruiting victory for the Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian.
