LONGHORNS LATEST NEWS: Is Another Manning on the Way to College Football- The Longhorns Have Confirmed The Signing of Newman High School football Team Graduate The bloodline of Greatness

Yes, you read that correctly: another Manning may be on their way to establishing a name for themselves in college football. Heid Manning, the brother of Arch Manning and the nephew of Eli and Peyton, recently played centre for the Isadore Newman High School football team, following in the footsteps of his brother Arch, who quarterbacked the team and graduated only two years ago before moving to Austin to play for Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns.

What Do We Need to Know About Heid Manning?
While Heid does not play a “skill position” like the other Manning descendants, he is apparently dominating on the field. According to Fanarch.com, “Heid has shown promise as a player, with a significant physical presence on the field.” If you want to be a successful offensive lineman, let alone a centre, you must impose yourself physically. And it looks Heid is doing exactly that.

Heid is a 6-foot, 230-pound recent graduate of Isadore Newman High School, and while he has yet to play collegiately, don’t be surprised if he gets an opportunity elsewhere, given Manning’s pedigree.

What is the history of the Manning family?

There are several pieces here. To begin, Heid’s grandfather, Archie Manning, played quarterback for Ole Miss in the late 1960s, and his uncle, Eli, in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Heid’s uncle, Peyton, plays quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers. Both Eli and Peyton went on to have successful NFL careers, with Peyton winning two Super Bowls and Eli winning one.

Most recently in the news is Heid’s older brother Arch, who, as previously stated, is currently playing quarterback for the University of Texas Longhorns as a backup to Quinn Ewers in 2024.
