HUGE CHALLENGE: Saints Head Coach Dennis Allen Sends a Bold Challenge To The Rest Of The NFL

The New Orleans Saints kicked out their 2024 OTAs this week, and there have been some interesting storylines. The adjustments, particularly on offence, have stood out.

Earlier this summer, the Saints made significant changes to their offensive staff, led by new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. QB Derek Carr has praised his new play-caller, and Allen has consistently supported their new assistants.

Saints HC Dennis Allen challenged the rest of the NFL to begin developing game plans for the team’s new offence.
The comment came after a report inquired whether quarterback runs (most likely by Taysom Hill) would be deemphasized. Allen does not anticipate that at all. He plans to continue using Taysom in that position, which has proven to be quite helpful over the years.

The Saints head coach is clearly confident in this situation.
Allen also stated that the Saints offence is “getting out of the huddle a little faster” and hasn’t had “as many re-huddles” since Klint Kubiak took over. It is apparent that the pace will be accelerated.

Derek Carr will enter his third season with a new offensive coordinator. Having saying that, there is a bold feeling around the unit at the 2024 OTAs. There don’t seem to be many questions because the staff has gotten the guys up to speed very quickly.

The Saints are confident that they hired the appropriate coaches to ensure that their offence becomes more consistent. In 2023, their offence appeared to be in the top five in the NFC. They would sometimes go an entire quarter without picking up multiple first downs. There was little in-between.

Now, the shining confidence should put supporters at ease as the Saints ramp up their game under Kubiak this summer. Let us see if Allen’s bravery pays off.
