Despite the attention of certain foreign clubs, Mike Maignan has stated his desire to remain at AC Milan, and his agents will shortly meet with the management.
According to Calciomercato.com, Maignan’s agents will travel in Milan within the next three weeks for a meeting with CEO Giorgio Furlani, and from there, concrete conversations about a contract renewal will begin.
There isn’t much time pressure because his present contract expires in 2026, but the plan is to extend it until 2028 while tripling his current €2.8m net per season compensation.
Despite Chelsea and PSG’s interest, the France international goalkeeper’s desire remains to stay at Milan. Furlani and the management team want to acknowledge Maignan’s standing as not just one of the greatest in the world at his position, but also as a player who has emerged as a leader in the locker room.
