INJURY UPDATE: Phillies Manager Rob Thomson Brutally Lamenting Over Phillies Latest Setback As Top Most Experienced DUO now Confirmed Out with Major Injury

Brandon Marsh, an outfielder with the Philadelphia Phillies, was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a strained right hamstring.
In addition, the NL East leaders placed infielder Kody Clemens on the 10-day injured list due to low back spasms. Veteran outfielder David Dahl and utilityman Weston Wilson were promoted from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, while right-hander Michael Rucker was sent to the 60-day injured list.

Marsh, 26, was injured in the 10th inning of Sunday night’s 5-4 loss to Saint Louis. In 52 games, he has six home runs and 26 RBIs, batting.265 overall.
“It’s a mild hamstring strain,” Marsh explained. “It’s a little early for now. We are still attempting to treat and examine it. There is no timetable, but we anticipate a speedy reversal.

Dahl, 30, started the first game of a three-game series against Milwaukee, which leads the NL Central. It was his first big league game since April 4, 2023, when San Diego faced Arizona.

He launched a single drive in the fourth inning to give the Phillies a 3-0 lead in a 3-1 win, his first big league home run since April 3, 2023.

Dahl was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the first round of the 2012 amateur draft and was named to the National League All-Star squad in 2019. But his career has been sidetracked by injury, and he signed a minor league contract with Philadelphia in February.

He was batting.340 with 12 home runs and 26 RBIs at Lehigh Valley.

“He’s been swinging the bat very well,” Phillies manager Rob Thomson stated. “He’s been hitting home runs, getting on base, and playing good defence. “We’ll see what he has.”
