Opposing fanbases are trolling the Tennessee Volunteers on social media following a now-viral recruiting mistake during a five-star player’s official visit.
David Sanders Jr., the nation’s top offensive line prospect, visited Knoxville this weekend to look at the Vols’ football program.
Every major institution in the country has expressed interest in the outstanding prospect, and every top recruiting source ranks him as a top-five player – regardless of position.
However, a mistake on the field may be costly, and with a number of suitors interested in the linemen, those “uh-ohs” will undoubtedly be published online for the whole college football community to witness.
Sanders ate a dinner with other recruits who were visiting the campus. Each player’s seat was indicated by a name card, but something was wrong with the big man’s tag.

This isn’t the only recruiting blunder we’ve witnessed on the road this offseason. Fans believed Clemson’s Dabo Swinney had forgotten a commit’s name during a cringe-worthy recruiting interaction earlier this year, prompting internet mocking.
Sanders’ final group includes Tennessee, Georgia, Clemson, and Ohio State. We’ll see how his recruitment affects the Vols.
