Despite their winning record in June, the Los Angeles Angels are allegedly considering offers for closer Carlos Estévez.
With the July 30 trade deadline just weeks away, few non-contenders are more likely to be traded. He’s a rental guy who has been the Angels’ greatest arm all season, making him an unstoppable force unless injured.

According to Robert Murray of FanSided, the Angels are keeping an eye on right-hander Carlos Estevez, who was awarded the American League Reliever of the Month in June after allowing only two baserunners and no runs. He is in the final year of a two-year, $13.5 million contract and might be a viable trade target for teams looking to strengthen their bullpen.
In June, he pitched ten scoreless innings and struck out ten batters. Estévez once retired 26 consecutive hitters and allowed only two baserunners in 31 plate appearances. He was tremendously dominant and has been so since joining the Angels prior to last season.

He has an even 3.00 earned run average in 27 innings and is 16-for-19 in save opportunities. Estévez earns $6.75 million before becoming a free agent next winter. He is owed little under $3 million for the remainder of the season, and most teams should be able to afford that kind of pay.
