After Dallas Keuchel and Joel Kuhnel were DFA’d, it provided way for Jared Koenig’s return from the injured list, and Jay will be assigned a 40-man roster spot. He was immediately optioned to Triple-A Nashville and has three minor league option years left.

The Brewers send TJ Shook to Binghamton.

Shook was pitching for the Biloxi Shuckers, the Milwaukee Brewers’ Double-A club, and will be assigned to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Shook was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and has progressed through the minor league system; the righty has yet to make his major – debut.
Shook’s minor league record is 23-17 with a 4.77 ERA. This season with the Shuckers, he had a 4.90 ERA, 5-7 record, 1.35 WHIP, 77 strikeouts, and 25 walks in 64.1 innings. Given his 4.62 ERA and.229 batting average against, the Brewers decided it was time to give him a chance with a different team.
