After Everton’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth, Abdoulaye Doucoure acknowledged the supporters.
Taking to X, the midfielder was quick to express his gratitude following the club’s first win at Goodison Park this season.
The Toffees were under pressure to win all three points this weekend after suffering a crushing defeat to Luton Town the previous Saturday.
The Merseyside outfit, on the other hand, exceeded expectations, winning three out of four games in all competitions as they defeated a struggling Cherries team.
Doucoure was at the center of attention once more, capping off the day with his third goal of the season around the hour mark.
The 30-year-old has now scored eight goals since Sean Dyche’s arrival, with three of those goals coming in the previous six games.
Doucoure has been a fan favorite since improving his form last season, and he has shown gratitude to the fans.
“No better feeling than a win at Goodison!” he wrote on Twitter. Thank you once more for your help.”
What a comeback for Doucoure!
While Sean Dyche appears to be experimenting with his midfield in order to find the correct blend of players, Abdoulaye Doucoure has remained a constant.
The midfielder received a new deal last season after it appeared he was on his way out, and he did an excellent job.
The Mali international has started all eight of Everton’s Premier League games this season, and he has earned it by being involved and having numerous chances to add to his remarkable total.
Doucoure is one player who will almost certainly be among the first names on the squad sheet, and it will be intriguing to see if he can keep it up until next summer, when his contract is set to expire.
