NASCAR UPDATE: FDNY Racing Shuts Down Corey Lajoie Rumors With Savage Post, As He Addresses Parting Ways With Spire Motorsports. ‘It’s Never Been…SEE MORE…

FDNY Racing has addressed rumors about Corey LaJoie joining their team for the 2025 NASCAR season. In response to a report from Essentially Sports, FDNY Racing took to X to clarify that LaJoie will not be driving the No. 28 truck next year. The team posted a GIF of Randy Jackson with the caption, “Yeah, that’s gonna be a no for me dawg,” and added “Nice try though” above it.

FDNY Racing competes in the NASCAR Truck Series, with Bryan Dauzat currently driving the No. 28 Chevrolet Silverado. The team participates part-time, so LaJoie’s potential involvement would have been a notable shift.

This speculation follows LaJoie’s recent announcement that he will be leaving Spire Motorsports after the 2024 Cup Series season. On the latest episode of Stacking Pennies, LaJoie reflected on his career, noting how it has taken unexpected turns.

“I am very grateful for where I am financially and professionally,” LaJoie shared. “Things have not gone as I had anticipated. My NASCAR career has unfolded in ways I didn’t expect, so I’m not surprised by this. Every plan I made has turned out differently.”

LaJoie also discussed his mindset on the uncertainty of his future, citing Proverbs 16:9, which has been a part of his X profile for nearly a decade: “The man can plan his path, but the Lord determines his steps.” He expressed uncertainty about his next steps but remains optimistic.
