DEAL CONFIRMED: HMS’ Chase Elliott Lands New Sponsor For Upcoming Race as Hooters Steps Aside

Coca-Cola, which has long supported various NASCAR Cup Series drivers and teams, will make its first-ever principal sponsorship with NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver, Chase Elliott, for Sunday’s Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway.

The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series winner will drive his No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the series’ second annual trip to Richmond, Virginia’s three-quarter-mile short circuit, wearing Coca-Cola’s trademark red and white colours.

Elliott, a Dawsonville, Georgia native, formally joined the Coca-Cola Racing Family at the start of last season, when the business signed an agreement with the 28-year-old and Hendrick Motorsports to become the driver’s and the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 team’s official beverage partner.

Elliott’s father, Bill, the 1988 NASCAR Cup Series winner, is one of several drivers who Coca-Cola has supported since the corporation first entered NASCAR more than a quarter-century ago.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver is a member of the Coca-Cola Racing Family, alongside Austin Dillon, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, and Daniel Suarez.

Chase Elliott's Richmond sponsor revealed, replacing Hooters

Elliott’s sponsorship schedule on the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro is officially full, with the announcement that Coca-Cola will take over sponsorship of the event in Richmond.

Earlier this season, Hendrick Motorsports announced that long-time partner Hooters will no longer sponsor the No. 9 Chevrolet after failing to meet its contractual obligations with the organization in the months preceding the July separation.

Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Richmond was Hooters’ final scheduled event as the primary sponsor of the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro in 2024.
