INJURY UPDATE: Lakers Top Star LeBron James Sends a Shocking Injury Update After Brutal Head Injury At USA-Brazil Game at 2024 Olympics

The only thing that didn’t go perfectly for Team USA in their dominant win against Brazil in Tuesday’s quarterfinals match at the 2024 Olympics was in the second half. On a Brazil fastbreak, LeBron James got an unintended shot to the face, forcing him to leave the game.

LeBron would first head to the bench before entering the locker room. He finally returned to the bench for the last minutes of the game, and thereafter, head coach Steve Kerr disclosed he had four stitches for the incident.
In case you were worried, Kevin Durant uploaded a picture of the squad after the game on Tuesday, and LeBron’s eye did not look to be swollen.

As much fun as a LeEyePatch game would be, it appears that LeBron will be alright. Maybe he will put on some LeGoggles.

LeBron Needed Four Stitches After Being Elbowed in Head at the Olympics
LeBron has played an important role for Team USA. While it was expected that he would play a significant role, he has taken over the role of top ball handler, particularly since Steph Curry has struggled hard in the Olympics.

In just 20.5 minutes per game, LeBron averages 13.8 points, 7.8 assists, and 5.8 rebounds for Team USA. He’s shooting 67.6% from the field, but he’s only attempted 34 shots in four games, including seven 3-pointers.

For those keeping score at home, that equates to the most minutes, second-most points, assists, and third-most rebounds per game. He also has the team’s highest field goal percentage.

Team USA will face Serbia on Thursday at 12:00 PT.
