Jazz Chisholm Jr. has been on a roll since joining the New York Yankees. Before the MLB trade deadline, the Bronx Bombers traded three minor leaguers to the Miami Marlins for Chisholm. He has a.333 batting average, nine home runs, and ten stolen bases in 24 games since joining the Yankees. Chisholm’s wins above replacement indicate how effective he has been after the deal. He posted a 1.7 FWAR (1.2 WAR) in 101 games for the Marlins. He has the same FWAR but a better WAR (1.3) in 24 games with the Yankees.
Chisholm’s quickness has provided a significant boost to the Yankees. He is a perfect 10/10 in stolen base attempts and has the second-most swipes on the squad this season.
The 2022 All-Star has provided the Yankees with both offensive productivity and defensive stability. He had never played third base in his MLB career, but he has spent more than 200 innings there for the Bronx Bombers. Throughout his five big league seasons, Chisholm has predominantly played second base and centre field. Chisholm has already set career highs in several offensive categories this season. His 127 hits, 22 home runs, 65 runs batted in, and 32 stolen bases are all career highs. This year, the 26-year-old has played 125 games, the most in a single season of his career.
